MEMORY of Lovey

A silent lonely thought

Came and went, and passed a lot

Memories remaining jumped

And cried from a yardage umped

I eyed Lovey once so opulent

Though now she is just a monument

She is a faint torch of love, a foolish fantast

But, lighted up in my heart again just as forecast

I carried a lot of pain, that stirred in

Feelings that moved into a hidden burden

Sad, sad, and aching for some remedy

I got stuck in pain even more heavily

Memory of that dear one, I can't forget

Her good will is forever my unpaid debt

These tracks of recall are like a sacred affliction

Much welcome prayer, a whispered benediction
