Telepati diyorlar bedenden gayrı düşünceye

Laf desen, haber gibi bir şeymiş kişiden kişiye

Aradaki mesafe, yerçekiminin nişan taşı -

Birbirlerine can atanların ayrılık sancısı

Demek ki, mıhlanmış vücutlar kazık, yaban yerlere

Hatıramda bir bakış var, kalmış uymuyor cümleye

Uzun uzun vedalaşmıştık bir hava limanında,

Kopmak istemedi kollarımız uçak dumanına

Dedi ki: “Nerede olursan ol, manen beraberiz!”

Kendime: “Eh, molla paşa; öyleyse, kafayı yeriz!”

Anlarız mevzuya düşünce: “Zaman insan düşmanı!”

Düşünce nur topu değil, hoplasın binbir kıtayı;

Sevenlerin ruhu kafeste, salsan uçmaz kuşları,

Can ister, imkansızda aşsın, maddeten mesafeyi

O zamandır kıskanır, meleğe ait efsaneyi!

THOUGHT ON THOUGHTS

They call telepathy a thought both in and beyond the body

It's like a word of mouth,

news from person to person

The distance between is gravity's aiming stone

Its the pain of separation for those who long for each other

So, such fastened bodies are piled up in the wildest places, but are apart

Yet, they can talk without speech, writing or other sensory signals!

There is a look in my memory, but it doesn't fit into the sentence

We said our goodbyes for a long time at an airport

Our arms didn't want to break away from the airplane's smoke
